The arrival of 13th aditya denotes a deluge or cataclysmic phenomenon. This is seen as bad luck in all cultures.
In a planet, the aditya who looks up to Vega (North Star) / Sathya Loga or inward will save all those souls whose mind, guna, manas and soul are like a crystal or even take them with him if required.
If he feels the planet can be saved, he will leave here a soul whose soulspace is the seed for Liberation/Mukti. This soul is new Subrahmanya or 14 Aditya.
The emergence of Subrahmanya (and his new srishti) and the process/duty of Brahmins offering daily tarpana to Planetary devas and 12 Adityas have been derived from this philosophy

Rudra will come as a crystal soul. It is differentiated from the Red/Saffron color of Shiva.
When there is a need to balance the planetary soul spaces, the 12 adityas (from devendra sangham), in a deluge/cataclysm give way to 11 Rudras.
In the christian Bible, when the disciples ask Jesus, why cant you call upon God to prevent the crucifixion.

Brahmins/Andanars have to do their Nithya Karma ( Meditating on the Adityas and Rudras, Offering mind, manas and soul space to them, additionally offering material offerings ). Antarmukha/Adhomukha Rudra can help save the souls/planet/terrestrial civilization only if this happens.

அந்தணர்கள் நித்ய கர்மாவை செய்ய வேண்டும் ( ஆதித்ய மற்றும் ருத்ர ஸ்மரணை, ஆஹுதி அளித்தல் ). அவர்கள் இதை செய்தால் மட்டுமே பிரளய காலத்தில் அதோமுகனான ஈசனால் நம்மை காக்க முடியும்.
இதற்காகவே யந்த்ரம், ஸ்படிகம், விமானம், கொடிமரம், பலிபீடம், கும்பம், பிராண பிரதிஷ்டை, பிம்பம், தேர்கள், ருத்ர அக்ஷம், பூஜா முறைகள் உருவாக்க பட்டுள்ளன.
